Valley Shakespeare Festival, the Lower Naugatuck Valley’s nonprofit free Shakespeare theater company, is holding a show Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m., with the third offering in its Shakespeare in the Bar series, “Hamlet: The Bad Quarto.”

The shortened, adapted version will be presented at Porky’s Café, 50 Center St. Shelton. Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 at the door. For more information go to www.vsfestival.org.

Valley Shakespeare Festival is piloting an education initiative program this year to the fourth graders of the Shelton school district in May.

It will conduct workshops on Shakespeare’s works and present performances of “As You Like It” for the elementary school students.
