The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for southern Connecticut and southeastern New York until 9 p.m. tonight.
The National Weather Service is also tracking a line of storms that extends from Mt. Kisco, New York to Newtown, Conn. The storm system is moving east along the shore, though lower Valley towns could still feel its effects.
Gusty winds up to 50 miles per hour along with deadly cloud-to-ground lightning are possible with this storm.
At 2:31 p.m., there was a light drizzle outside of 1000 Bridgeport Avenue, but Jones Family Farm tweeted a photo of sunny skies where they are.
