Shelton’s Riverwalk gets plowed soon after latest snowstorm

The plows were in action only a few hours after the most recent storm, which appears to have dropped from 5 to 6 inches of snow on Shelton from mid-day Sunday through very early Monday morning.

The issue of how quickly the city has been plowing snow from the Riverwalk — including the much more heavily used section in Veterans Memorial Park, near the Shelton Farmers Market Building — has surfaced in the past few weeks.

A resident of the Avalon apartment complex recently told the Board of Aldermen that the Riverwalk section near that complex hasn’t been getting plowed after storms this winter.
