Valley Shakespeare Festival (VSF) will present its third Shakespeare in the Bar with a performance of “Hamlet: The Bad Quarto” on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at Porky’s Café, 50 Center St, Shelton.
This is a shortened version of the well-known Shakespeare play, with some noticeable differences.
“Although it is categorized as a Shakespearean tragedy, some of the changes have often left audiences laughing out loud,” said VSF Executive and Artistic Director Tom Simonetti, adding, “All great tragedy is a comedy in the end.”
The event will take place in Porky’s upper-level bar venue and will begin at 6:15 with free pizza, courtesy of Porky’s. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. They are available at www.vsfestival.org or 203-513-9446.
The nonprofit Valley Shakespeare Festival works to bring free Shakespeare to the communities of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
