Boys swimming: Shelton posts best state finish ever

Shelton High finished eighth with 190 points at the Class L state swimming championship.

It was Shelton’s highest finish in a class meet ever.

Hunter Wronski finished 6th in the 100 Breaststroke with a school record of 1:02.41. He also finished 12th in the 200 Freestyle.

Reid Chavez finished 9th in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 55.44 setting a school record.

Jack Marciano finished 18th in the 100 Butterfly. Sebastian Musante finished 22nd in the 500 freestyle. Juan Carlo Rojo finished 20th in the 100 backstroke. Marc Maleri finished 22nd after winning a swim off to qualify for the meet.

The 200 Medley Relay of Chavez, Wronski, Marciano, and Jack Wise finished 8th with a time of 1:46.57. The time set a school record for the third time this season.

The 400 Freestyle Relay of Chavez, Musante, Wise, and Wronski finished 7th with a time of 3:35.31.

The 200 Freestyle Relay of Enea Stafa, Musante, Marciano, Agean Binan finished 17th with a time of 1:42.21
