NEW SNOW PHOTOS: When will the snow end in Shelton? How much will we get?

Roads and Route 8 are in decent shape, with plenty of plows visible on main streets, although some snow cover can be found on most road surfaces.

The snow should continue until about midnight, and could then be followed by a period of combined snow and freezing rain lasting through Saturday early afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The latest NWS predictions are for Shelton to get about 1 to 2 more inches of snow during the evening, which would lead to less total accumulation from the storm than earlier forecasts indicated.

The low temperature on Friday night into Saturday should be 26 degrees, and the daytime high on Saturday will be 41 degrees. Some rain is possible late Saturday, the NWS said.
