Panel to discuss recruiting

The Fairfield County Sports Commission is presenting a free panel discussion called “Everything You Need to Know About College Sports Recruiting, but Were Afraid to Ask” on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Newtown Youth Academy Sports and Fitness facility, 4 Primrose Street in Newtown.

College athletics coaches and administrators comprise the expert panel, which will educate parents and student athletes on the process from making initial contact to financial aid opportunities to all questions pertaining to this key life decision.

Panel members include:
-Byron Knox, Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach, Univ. of Bridgeport
-Andy Lausier, Head Wrestling Coach, Sacred Heart Univ.
-Meghan Miller, Compliance Director, Sacred Heart Univ.
-Cary Nadel, Director of Scouting – Northeast Region, National Scouting Report
-Karen Pellegrino, Dean of Enrollment, Fairfield University.
