Gov. Dannel Malloy will be the speaker at a business luncheon on Thursday, April 16 at noon at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn & Conference Center, 1070 Main St., Bridgeport.
The Bridgeport Regional Business Council’s (BRBC) Capitol Luncheon is $45 for BRBC members and $60 for others.
Malloy, a Democrat, was re-elected to a second four-year term in 2014. He is a former mayor of Stamford.
Transportation and job growth
Paul Timpanelli, BRBC president and CEO, said Malloy’s presentation may touch on business community agenda items such as transportation infrastructure investment and improving the state’s environment for job growth.
“Our presence before the governor will go a long way toward our desire to hear his thinking on these issues and for him to hear ours,” Timpanelli said.
The luncheon is sponsored by Aquarion Water Co., People’s United Bank, St. Vincent’s Medical Center and University of Bridgeport.
The Capitol Luncheon is one of several annual events that are planned by the BRBC Government Relations Committee and offer the business community an opportunity to hear from both elected and appointed officials in key leadership roles at a local, statewide or national level.
