A free talk on how to plan for future healthcare and medical decisions will take place Wednesday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. Griffin Hospital, 130 Division St., Derby.
The talk will focus on the three stages of advanced care planning in which individuals discuss and decide their future healthcare wishes in the event that they unable to speak for themselves while at a healthcare facility.
Daun Barrett will lead the talk along with Diane Betkoski of Griffin Hospital.

Edward J. Sheehy Jr., of Riverview Funeral Home in Shelton, and John T. Bennett, of John T. Bennett Funeral Home in Ansonia, will provide funeral planning information to make decision-making easier in the emotional time after losing a loved one.
A light dinner will be served. Presentation is sponsored by the Valley Senior Services Council and Griffin Hospital, and funded by the Valley United Way and TEAM Inc.
