SSI, a Shelton-based business survey research firm, has completed the acquisition of the majority of assets of MRops, a provider of research operations services to management consulting firms and market research agencies.
Clients of both companies should see a single, expanded SSI going forward with no disruption in service, according to an SSI press release.
“This acquisition strengthens SSI’s leadership position by expanding our capabilities in B2B, survey programming and hosting, as well as deepening our expertise in management and healthcare consulting,” said SSI President and CEO Chris Fanning.
The two firms involved
Founded in January 2007, MRops specializes in business-to-business research, executive interviewing, statistical services and sampling solutions. The company has offices in North America, Europe and Asia, including an operations hub in Hyderabad, India.

About the transaction
The New York-based merger and acquisition firm AdMedia Partners acted as financial advisor to MRops in the transaction with SSI.
The majority owner of SSI since late 2014 is HGGC, a private equity firm.
