Valley Shakespeare Festival is looking for families to host their out-of-town actors during the summer.
The actors will be in the area for three weeks to prepare for the 2015 summer production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The free shows will be July 9 to 12, beginning at 8 p.m. at the Riverwalk in Shelton.
Performers are chosen through professional audition processes in New York City and Shelton, and come from all over Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.
Would be for about three weeks
Actors require a private bedroom and a bathroom (preferably private as well), clean linens (sheets and towels), and small spaces in your cupboard and refrigerator to store their food.
(Story continues below)
Actors generally rehearse Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Host families do not need to provide food or transportation to actors, unless they specifically want to.
