They were three of the many volunteers who participated in the annual Housatonic River Cleanup on April 26 at the Sunnyside Boat Launch in Shelton.

Volunteers cleaned the shoreline in Shelton, Milford and Stratford, with the local base being the Sunnyside Boat Launch and adjacent Ayer’s Landing Marina. Boats ferried people to locations to pick up debris.

Many of the volunteers were Shelton High students, who can earn community service credits for their efforts.
