Downtown Handmade Market is in Shelton

Danielle Duncan sells prints of her work, including the one she is holding of a young woman who appears to resemble her, at the Downtown Handmade Market in Shelton. Duncan also is a maker of hula hoops.

A Downtown Handmade Market takes place the first Saturday of every month in downtown Shelton, including May 2.

Shelton-CelebrateSheltonThe market, which features many artisans, food producers and businesses from Shelton and elsewhere in Connecticut, goes from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Conti Building, 415 Howe Ave.

The market began during the recent Christmas season as part of the Celebrate Shelton initiative.
