Movie soundtracks to be performed by orchestra in Shelton

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra will play well-known songs from films such as West Side Story, Disney’s Fantasia and The Red Violin during a performance Sunday, May 31 at 3 p.m. at Shelton Intermediate School.

The Cinematic Dance concert will highlight classical movie soundtracks and closes the orchestra’s 2014-15 season.
Violin soloist Bella Hristova will be a guest performer. Born in Bulgaria, she has received an Avery Fisher Career Grant.

Adult tickets are $35 or $49 at NewHavenSymphony.org or 203-865-0831, ext. 20 (student tickets are $10, and children ages 7-17 are free with purchase of adult ticket).
