Youth Connection plans ‘Peter Pan’ auditions

Shelton-Scarpa-CenterStage

Gary and Francesca Scarpa of Shelton’s Center Stage Theatre.

Auditions for the Youth CONNection’s summer production of Peter Pan will take place Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for high school and college students, and Sunday, May 24 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for elementary and middle school students.

The Youth CONNection is a theater program for high school and college students, but this year, children in third grade and older are eligible to audition since the production calls for child performers.

The classic musical brings to life Peter Pan, Tinker Bell; the children Wendy, Michael and John; Captain Hook, pirates and Indians. Songs include Never Never Land, I Won’t Grow Up and I’m Flying, as Peter and Wendy embark on a magical adventure to Neverland and back.

The Youth CONNection, founded by Gary and Fran Scarpa in 1983, now kicks off each Center Stage Theatre season. The group presents a major musical in the Shelton High School auditorium.

For audition information about the audition, go to www.centerstageshelton.org or call 203-225-6079.
