The Friends of the Shelton Libraries’ annual spring book sale at the Plumb Memorial Library will take place May 14 to 17.

Available will be hard-cover and paperbacks for adults, kids and teens, as well as books on CD and DVDs, and other items.

Proceeds from the book sales benefit the Friends of the Shelton Libraries. The group supports both public libraries in Shelton.

On Thursday, May 14 from 6-8 p.m., First Night is an opportunity for the first choice on purchases. Admission is $5 per person to First Night.

Regular book sale hours, with no admission charge, are Friday, May 15 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (all half price), and Sunday, May 17 from noon-4 p.m. (fill a bag for $5).

Book sale proceeds enables the Friends of the Shelton Libraries to help Plumb Memorial and the Huntington Branch with materials, programs and volunteers.

Donations and volunteers are always welcome; call the Plumb at 203-924-1580 for information.
