Step back in time on CT Open House Day, Saturday, June 13, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the General David Humphrey’s House & Museum, 37 Elm Street, Ansonia.
Tour of the General David Humphrey’s House and/or an outside, walking tour of the Historic Elm Street district, led by costumed Docents.
Colonial chores, activities and demonstrations will be performed throughout the day. Also, the train building will be opened to the public for the first time. The building houses a layout of “Derby Junction” circa 1918. This layout depicts the cities of Ansonia, Derby and Shelton.
Event admission is free, but the tours are a $5 suggested donation. All donations will benefit the Derby Historical Society & the Humphrey House Restoration Project. Parking is available in the lot behind the Humphreys House, and on nearby Thomas Street. More information available at www.derbyhistorical.org
