This Thursday, HAN Radio and the Hersam Acorn Network are broadcasting live from Two Roads Brewing in Stratford.
The HAN team will air a full line-up of shows at HANRadio.com/livestream and audio only at HANRadio.com
The broadcast will start at 11 a.m. with Coffee Break, bringing all the headlines and latest in local sports and happenings in Southwestern Connecticut. The show will also welcome some special guests from the brewery.
Just in time for lunch at noon, and for the opening of the Two Roads tasting room and beer garden, Stir Crazy, a food chat show, gives “Three Cheers For Beer.” Host Patty Gay will welcome guests Silvia Baldini, the first female Chopped champion from Connecticut, TV personalities The Twins: Judy and Joy and Julie Miller, author of the Never Ending Cookbook. The group will do a taste testing of the different beers from Two Roads and share their favorite recipes, from appetizers to dessert, using beer.
At 1, the Yankee Fisherman John Kovach will talk about salt water fishing with Jim Turecek, just in time for the summer season on Long Island Sound.
On a special Thursday edition of Radio Arts & Leisure at 2, the Maritime Aquarium’s Dave Sigworth will be joining hosts Sally Sanders and Steve Coulter to talk about the summer walk-in exhibit of butterflies and a new movie about the Monarch butterfly’s amazing migrations. He’ll also have details of a Wine & Butterflies fund-raiser on June 4. Catherine Michaels will be joining the show later to talking about bar etiquette. The hosts will be talking about George Clooney’s new film, Tomorrowland, and looking at his career, from TV to mega-filmstar. Steve and Sally will also suggest a few Memorial Day weekend activities.
Join the HAN team and kick-off the Memorial Day weekend a bit early. If you can’t make it, watch it live at hanradio.com/livestream/ or listen at HANRadio.com.
Two Roads Brewing is at 1700 Stratford Ave. The tasting room and beer garden open for visitors, 21-plus, at noon.
