Baseball: Gaels win Cancer Awareness game

The Shelton High baseball team on Cancer Awareness Night.

On Wednesday May 20, before its game against Daniel Hand of Madison, the Shelton High School Baseball team hosted a special night for Cancer Awareness.

Its “Strike-Out Cancer” game raised hundreds of dollars for the American Cancer Society.

The Gaels won the game 2-0, as ace right-hander Mike Cowell improved to 6-1 with a 13-strikeout performance on the mound.
