Griffin Hospital invites cancer survivors and their caregivers to the seventh annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital on Saturday, June 6.
Survivors (anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis) are invited to come at 6 a.m. to the Center for Cancer Care parking lot, 350 Seymour Ave., Derby.
There will be a Survivors’ Tent with giveaways, refreshments and information on support services. Survivors are invited to take part in the event or help cheer on the walkers and runners as they cross the finish line.
The 5K Walk/Run is a this fun, non-competitive event that raises funds for crucial patient needs at the center, such as free transportation, wigs, cancer rehabilitation supplies and food.
