The 20th anniversary of the Relay for Life of Naugatuck Valley is Saturday through Sunday, June 13 and 14, at the Shelton Riverwalk.
The American Cancer Society event celebrates survivors, remembers loved ones lost, and offers a chance to fight back against a disease.
The local Relay for Life will begin at 2 p.m., and each participating team is asked to have a member walking the track until 8 a.m. the next morning.
This event is open to the public and all are welcome.
Entertainment will run the entire duration of the event, with all types of fun for the family.
Activities include a watermelon-eating contest, hands-only CPR from Echo Hose Ambulance Corps., frozen T-shirt contest, life-sized Jenga, karaoke, line dancing, scavenger hunt, three legged race, a midnight movie, tug of war, kickball games and more.
Performances by Lorraine Judd Dance Center, Pinwheel Studios, Highfield and the Seymour High School band.
