Police make arrest in Buck Stop robbery

Joseph PalmerPolice arrested a Derby man Tuesday in connection to an Oct. 15 burglary at the Buck Stop Citgo Gas Station at 429 Shelton Ave.

Joseph Palmer, 42, of Derby is charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the third degree and criminal mischief in the second degree for allegedly breaking into the store around 3 a.m. Oct. 15, stealing cartons of cigarettes.

Surveillance video after the burglary showed two men stealing from the store. Police say another arrest may be forthcoming.

Palmer was held on $25,000 bond. The arrest is a result of a investigation by the Detective Bureau, Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said.
