A crane reaching perhaps 75 feet into the air was required to lift the large, industrial-sized air conditioning unit. The crane was positioned on Hill Street, between Canal Street and Howe Avenue.

That section of Hill Street was temporary closed to allow for the operation, with a police officer stationed at the site. The rooftop A.C. unit replaces an exhaust fan that was previously used to cool and circulate air inside the factory, according to a worker at the site.

These photos were taken at about 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 4.
