Visit Shelton History Center during CT Open House Day on Saturday

The Shelton History Center at 70 Ripton Road, close to the Huntington Green, will be open Saturday, June 13 from noon-4 p.m.

This sign identifies the Trap Falls Schoolhouse at the History Center, which is the last surviving one-room school structure in Shelton.

Visitors can check out six historic structures, including the Trap Falls one-room schoolhouse, take a guided tour or participate in activities at several stations.

The event is free and open to the public. For information call 203-925-1803 or go to sheltonhistoricalsociety.org.

Open House Day is an annual event where cultural organizations and tourism attractions throughout the state open their doors to Connecticut residents.
