The 228-unit Talbot Apartments complex is being built across the street on a 13-acre property, at 740 Bridgeport Ave., between Bridgeport Avenue and Route 8.

Rock ledge now is being removed from one side of Bridgeport Avenue to widen the road. A retaining wall now will be built due to the cut made in the hill.
