There was potential for severe thunderstorms in the late afternoon and early evening in Shelton on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), but the weather never got that bad in this immediate vicinity.

Some rain fell, but not much. Heavier rain did fall in other parts of Connecticut, including along the Interstate 84 corridor near Danbury and Waterbury.

According to the NWS, on Wednesday in Shelton it should be sunny with low humidity and a high of around 77 degrees.

However, rain is possible on Thursday in Shelton, the NWS said.
