PHOTOS: Big crowd turns out for first Huntington Green concert of season

Above, a couple dances to the rhythm-and-blues sounds of the band on the Green. The Bernadettes specialize in the blues, Motown, rock, funk and dance.

The Music Under the Stars summer concert series takes place weekly on Wednesdays at the Huntington Green (next week is an exception due to the annual fireworks show).

The performances, free and open to the public, are presented by the Shelton Parks and Recreation Department.

The concert during Fourth of July week will take place Thursday, July 2 at the Riverwalk as part of the fireworks show. It will feature The Navels, who play classic rock, disco and Motown songs.

The concert series returns to its usual location and night, Wednesday on the Huntington Green, with the Highland Rovers on July 8.
