Francesco D’Angelo and Abigail Wells, both of Shelton, were finalists in the Barnum’s Got Talent Vocal Competition Finale, part of the annual Barnum Festival.

The finalists survived several rounds of auditions, which attracted nearly 100 singers from throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.

They ranged in age from 10 to 41 and sang music from opera to pop. D’Angelo is 40 and Wells is 17.

The Barnum Festival was established in 1949 to celebrate the life and times of P.T. Barnum and to commemorate the history of Bridgeport.

This year’s fireworks are Friday, June 26 at Seaside Park, and the street parade is Saturday, June 27. Details on all events at barnumfestival.com or call 203-367-8495.
