Nursery school to offer full-day preschool program

Beginning this fall, Huntington Center Nursery School (HCNS) will offer full-day year-round preschool.

HCNS representatives said the decision reflects the school’s dedication to early childhood learning, and their desire to provide the best possible foundation for student success and to assist the community with quality care outside the home.

The nursery school’s preschool program is based on the fundamental factors of child development in physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth.

It provides a relaxed, non-pressured program where children can have fun and learn, develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and a positive self-image.

Activities include developmental curriculum, active play, Jump Bunch program, field trips, art, group activities, quiet time, and free time.
HCNS is a nonsectarian, nonprofit preschool founded in 1971. Teachers attend ongoing early childhood education training.

To learn more about the full-day program call HCNS Director Linda Rizzitelli at 203-929-7197; visit the school at 19 Church St., or go to www.HuntingtonCenterNurserySchool.com.
