Dr. Mark Melendez, a cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, has opened an office at 4 Corporate Drive, Suite 288. “This is a special day,” he said while thanking family members, co-workers, friends, guests and others at the opening.
Melendez said he looks forward to offering high-quality services to a range of customers, including those who may have limited means. “We have to reach out and help all patients,” he said.
‘Personalized and holistic’
Purcell said Melendez, who recently was appointed an assistant professor at Quinnipac University’s medical school, offers “truly personalized and holistic medical care.”
“This is another successful enterprise in this city,” Purcell said.
Lauretti praised Melendez for opening a new office and recognizing Shelton’s strong business environment, while thanking developer Robert Scinto for his role in expanding the city’s tax base.
The mayor pointed out he’d been a small business owner himself, running restaurants in Shelton. “I know what’s like to pay those bills, make that payroll, and pay taxes,” Lauretti said.
“We’re here for you,” Lauretti told Melendez.
Volunteers his services
Previously, Melendez had shared office space with some other physicians in the same building, while he was waiting for his new office to be completed. He also has medical offices in Greenwich and Woodbridge.
