The community is invited to Crosby Commons on Friday, July 17, for a book presentation and signing of author, Janina Nawarskas’ memoir, A Child Lost: My Life’s Journey from War Torn Europe to Proud American.
The book tells the story of how Janina, born in 1936 in Lithuania, had her comfortable life with her parents and brothers shattered by World War II, leaving her an orphan child attempting to survive in war-torn Europe.
The event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 3 p.m. Crosby Commons is on the Wesley Village campus at 580 Long Hill Avenue.
