The Derby Neck Library marks the 60th anniversary of the flood of 1955 on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 6:30 p.m.
There will be a talk by a local resident/historian and a presentation of original photographs of the flood, donated by neighbors of the library. These photos have never been reproduced in the press, library officials said.
There will be also a new exhibit of original local newspapers that covered the flood.
The library is at 307 Hawthorne Avenue, Derby.
