International troupe presents the Bard

Luke Robbins of Statesville, N.C., and Emma Blacklay-Piech of Leamington Spa, UK, as Sir Andrew and Viola in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, are part of an international cast who’ll be performing on the grounds of the American Shakespeare Festival Theater, 1850 Elm Street in Stratford, Aug. 1-9.

The group is presenting adaptations of Twelfth Night and Henry the Fifth in repertory, evenings at 8; there will be a matinee on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 3 and an alumni performance of Romeo & Juliet that day at 6. The Aug. 4 performance is a private one. The troupe is part of the Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford, supported by the Mighty Quinn Foundation, which honors the passion for learning and love of theater of Quinn Rooney, a Stratford resident who died of a rare form of brain cancer in 2012 at age 19.
