St. Vincent’s Medical Center will host a free cooking demonstration entitled “Hearts & Minds: Protect Both with Healthy Eating” on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. The public is invited to take a bite out of high blood pressure by learning healthy eating tips from Executive Chef Lance Johnson and Registered Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator Karen Novak. Discussion will highlight the healthiest diet that is hidden in plain sight. All recommendations are consistent with American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association guidelines. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, Conn., in the Cancer Center (Level 4), Hawley II Conference Center.
