New & Nearly New Thrift Shop holds semi-annual dollar sale

Kennedy Center Auxiliary’s New & Nearly New Thrift Shop semi-annual dollar sale starts Sept.  8, at 10 a.m., 2323 Barnum Avenue, Stratford. All summer clothes, shoes and purses are $1 each. The new fall clothes will be in the store on Sept. 21.

Tax deductible donations are accepted Monday-Saturday, until 1:30, we accept clean useable clothing, accessories and costume jewelry. Please do not bring children’s clothing, undergarments, books or electronics.

The New & Nearly New Thrift Shop is operated by The Kennedy Center Auxiliary and is staffed solely by volunteers. Additional volunteers are always needed and we encourage interested individuals to contact the store during operating hours. The store sells men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. Small household furniture and accessories are available as well. In addition, there are weekly specials.

Donations to the New and Nearly New Thrift Shop are tax deductible and accepted daily. Retail sales directly benefit The Kennedy Center.

Donated items needed include:

Pots/pans

Dishes

Glassware

Knickknacks

Lamps

Small occasional tables

Costume jewelry

Shoes

Purses

Clean and useable men’s & women’s clothing

Please do not bring electronics, books or children’s clothing.
