On Saturday, Sept 26, at 8:30 A.M. the Trails Committee will hold a work party.
A new trail has been roughly cut from the Boy Scout camp on the Shelton Land Conservation Trust Nicholdale property to Pearmain Rd. and is need of refinement. Most of the work will consist of brush cutting and removing obstructions.
The club will meet at the end of Pearmain Rd., off of Birdseye St., proceeding beyond the opened gate on the dirt road for a short distance (set your GPS for 69 Pearmain Rd, 06484). Dress according to the weather, and be sure to wear sturdy work gloves. You may bring loppers or hand pruners if you have them, otherwise tools will be provided. Insect repellent recommended! Also, be prepared to encounter poison ivy, another reason to dress properly.
