Historical bike ride through area planned

Trumbull Rail-Trail Historian, Sue A. DelBianco is hosting a Fall Historical Bike Ride from The Trumbull Valley to Monroe, on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. Cyclists will meet at the foot of The Trumbull Valley in the commuter parking lot on Tait Road in Trumbull.

DelBianco and her group of cyclists, will be stopping off at many historical points-of-interest along the rail-trail such as an old cow tunnel, remains of a fountain pool from Parlor Rock Amusement Park, remains of an old ice house and a knit mill, Old Mines,  Hannah Crannah’s grave in Monroe, The Old Stepney Train Depot in Stepney and much more. She will take the cyclists back in time to an era when railroad was king, aiding in promoting industry and linking the communities.
