Ridgefield’s Stonehenge Restaurant & Inn, founded shortly after World War II, is celebrating a grand re-opening under Jean-Pierre Rudaz who has become the sixth restaurateur to offer dining on a pond-side site that was once the home of grist and cider mill operators.

Several hundred Ridgefield families with children checked out the town’s new Imagination Station playground at Ballard Park over its first weekend.

The playground is the first of its kind in the United States and is aimed at providing exercise, not just passive recreation.
