A Derby man was under arrest Friday and charged with stealing a wallet in September.
On Oct. 16, Shelton Police charged Jeffery Carmon, 30, on a warrant for third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny charges.
Charges stem from a Sept. 18 report that an employee of a business in downtown Shelton had been approached by a male in the parking lot on Bridge Street. The male — later identified as Carmon — allegedly approached the victim and demanded their wallet. The victim gave the man their wallet, police said, and the man ran off.
Carmon was placed on a $20,000 bond. He was also processed on two outstanding failure to appear in court charges and a failure to respond to an infraction.
