Girls volleyball: Cheshire sweeps Shelton

The Shelton High girls volleyball team beat Shelton High 25-20, 25-9, 25-22 on Monday night in an SCC Housatonic Division matchup.

Casey O’Connor paced Shelton with six kills and three blocks, Mackenzie Bures added eight digs and two kills and Victoria Demko had six digs and two kills.

For Cheshire, Marli Green had four aces, nine kills and one block, Eleanora Ascheri added five kills and 18 kills and Janine Zummerchik chipped in with four digs, six kills and one block.

Cheshire improved to 13-2. Shelton fell to 11-4.
