At noon on Wednesday, Oct. 21, hospital staff will join together with visitors for the Nationwide Apple Crunch – a unifying tribute to the benefits of healthy diets.
At 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, chefs from Dining Services will put on a food demonstration about how to cut and cook squashes.
The fifth annual Food Day features thousands of events in all 50 states aimed at promoting real food. All year round, Food Day organizers are devoted to mobilizing support for policies that advance healthier diets, promote sustainable and organic agriculture, reduce hunger, reform factory farms, and support fair working conditions for food and farm workers.
