‘Mayor Lauretti is the best choice’

FI-Letter-to-the-Editor

I attended the candidates debate on Monday evening Oct. 19 to meet and learn more about the two people challenging incumbent Mayor Mark Lauretti.

While I respect the civic interest of Timothy Bristol and Michele Bialek, after listening to their comments and responses, I was surprised to see how uninformed they both were concerning government operations and the budgeting process. Now I know why Mayor Lauretti decided that his time was better spent that evening working late in his office on Shelton business.

It’s clear to me that the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies once again in this election, and Mayor Lauretti is the best choice.
