Girls volleyball: Gaelettes knock off Law

Shelton High’s girls volleyball team posted a 3-0 (26-24, 25-10, 25-17) win over visiting Jonathan Law of Milford on Friday.

The Gaelettes improved to 12-5, with one match remaining; this was the season finale for Law, which dropped to 6-14. Shelton avenged a five-game setback to Law earlier in the season.

For Shelton, Grace Tokarski had 24 assists, along with two kills and two aces; Casey O’Connor had eight kills and four blocks; Kendall Kreager came up with eight kills; Saara Vohra logged five digs and an ace; and Jillian Ortoli added eight digs and a trio of aces.

Law’s Cassidy Booth had 19 digs; Kailee Frank had six kills; and Renee Lynch came away with five kills and four blocks.

Shelton finishes the regular season at Cheshire on Monday.
