Shelton resident serves on Operation Fuel board

Operation-FuelOperation Fuel elected four new board members and two new officers during its annual board of directors meeting recently.

Among the members included Shelton resident Rev. Hopeton Scott, who was re-elected as treasurer. Scott is reverend at The First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

Operation Fuel is a private, nonprofit program that provides emergency energy assistance through its statewide network of fuel banks to lower-income working families and individuals, the elderly, and disabled individuals who are in financial crisis and not eligible for energy assistance from government-funded programs.
