Police log: Stealing, impersonation, possession

Shelton police made the following arrests:

Jakob D. Sears, 23, of 23 Westminster Avenue, Shelton, was charged with illegal possession on Nov. 8. Bond was $1,000.

Larceny

Two Bronx residents were under arrest Nov. 8 after loss prevention at Wal-Mart, 465 Bridgeport Avenue, of alleged shoplifters.

Yajaira Gonzalez, 39, of 200 University Avenue, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Bond was $1,000.

Erik Gonzalez, 26, of 200 University Avenue,was charged with sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Bond was $2,500.

Lisa Dannhauser, 44, of 760 George Street, New Haven, was charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny on Nov. 6. Bond was $500.

Brian Forrest Jennings, 27, of 81 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck, was charged with fifth-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace on Nov. 2. He was charged at Wal-Mart, 465 Bridgeport Avenue. Bond was $500.

Possession

Kevin John Lesko, 48, of 112 Shelton Avenue, Shelton, was charged with illegal possession and use and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Impersonation

Robert Waldo, 41, of 265 Winthrop Avenue, New Haven, was charged with criminal impersonation, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny on Nov. 6. Bond was $1,500.

Home improvement

Two men from New York were arrested Nov. 6 after they allegedly misrepresented themselves as registered home improvement contractors and doing work on an elderly Shelton resident’s home.

Gregory Ryan, 25, of 624 Green Avenue, Lindenhurst, N.Y., and Edward Malloy, 31, of 129 Burgess Avenue, Babylon, N.Y., were charged with offering home repairs without a license and representing themselves as registered home improvement contractors. Bond was $500 each. Police said it is unknown at this time if they did work on anyone else’s home in the area.

Burglary

Michael Russo, 21, of 47 Irion Street, Waterbury, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny on Nov. 6 at Webster Bank, 502 Howe Avenue. He was found in a camper that was parked downtown. He was later linked with car burglaries in the area. Bond was $10,000.

Assault

Anthony Rivera, 31, of 34 9th Street, Derby, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace second-degree on Nov. 5. Bond was $500.

Motor vehicle

Jose Mario Alves, 26, of 67 Nicholdale Road, Shelton, was charged with use/tampering with a motor vehicle without owner’s permission on Nov. 3.

Forgery

Niagara Suggs, 18, of 73 Fulton Street, New Haven, was charged with third-degree forgery and sixth-degree larceny. Bond was $350.

Chad Curtis Bennett, 39, of 7 Grays Plain Road, Sandy Hook, was charged with two counts of violation of probation on Nov. 2. Bond was $5,000.
