Numerous items, including a .22 caliber rifle were allegedly stolen from a Downs Road home during a July 4 party and the suspect has just been charged. The items were later sold at a Bridgeport pawn shop, police said.

In Darien, Police say a trail of oil helped lead them to the home of a drunk driver who allegedly fled the scene of an accident.

Police say a man was arrested after he drove his car through the front door and into the lobby of a Connecticut hotel.

A threat received on a student’s cell phone prompted a brief lockdown at West Haven High School Monday morning.

In Stratford a Sunday night water main break is still causing problems this morning.
