A pedestrian was killed and Interstate 95 was backed up for miles after an accident Tuesday afternoon.

The Trumbull Police Department responded to a burglary attempt at a Sunnycrest Road home around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, which resulted in a hour-long manhunt through Old Town Road in Trumbull and into the Chopsey Hill Road area in Bridgeport.

Bridgeport police made an unusual arrest Tuesday involving a Santeria priest, allegedly practicing the dark arts.

Stratford’s Joe Gresko will succeed his friend and former boss Terry Backer in the state House of Representatives after winning Tuesday’s special election.

Two New York City brothers will be spending the next five years behind bars for an illegal operation that supplied wholesale quantities of heroin to customers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
