Below are some of the stories we are following on Thursday, Feb. 11:

The Weston Fire Department and EMS responded to a one car rollover crash yesterday morning on Broad Street in Weston.

After listening to the heart wrenching stories from residents, community volunteers and addiction advocates at last month’s legislative forum on opiate addiction, State Reps. David Rutigliano (R-123), Brenda Kupchick (R-132), Laura Devlin (R-134), and Ben McGorty (R-122) are putting ideas and concepts from these local advocates into bill proposal requests for the upcoming legislative session which began on Feb. 3.

According to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski, Two forced entry burglaries were reported Wednesday, Feb. 3 between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m in New Canaan. One occurred on Old Norwalk Road and the other on Butler Lane. Both residences had alarms set and were locked when the burglars entered. Because the alarms were set, the suspects had very little time to steal items from the home.

The Darien Board of Selectmen has opted not to pursue body cameras for the officers of the Darien Police Department, declining a request for funding from Police Chief Duane Lovello.

In Ridgefield, Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe on Main Street has embarked on a joint promotion with Latis Imports, a Ridgefield company that imports Palm Ale, for Valentine’s Day weekend that combines Belgian chocolate with Belgian beer.

Gov. Dannel Malloy announced that Shelton has been awarded a $875,000 grant to demolish an old building located at 223 Canal st.
