Obituary: Helen Pczonka Dripchak, 92, former Derby city clerk

Helen Pczonka Dripchak, 92, of Derby, former city clerk for the City of Derby, wife of Stephen Edward Dripchak, died Feb. 17,  at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.

Born Sept. 6, 1923 to the late Josephine (Surdel) Pczonka and the late Frank Pczonka.

Survived by sons, David Dripchak and his wife, Susan, of Shelton, and Stephen Dripchak Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of upper Montclair, N.J., 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her sister, Mary Tracz of Derby, and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Dripchak, her brother, Frank Pczonka Jr., and her sister, Genevieve Wailionis.

Visiting hours: Friday, Feb. 18, 3-7 p.m., Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home ,253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Services: Saturday, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, 10 a.m., St. Michael’s Church, Derby. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
