Most schools in our area are dismissing early today, in preparation for a winter storm that could lead to messy roads and commute.

Christopher Plaskon who is accused of fatally stabbing classmate Maren Sanchez, 16 in April 2014 appeared in Superior Court in Milford this morning.

The families of those killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting massacre are asking for the manufacturer, distributor and dealer of the rifle used by the shooter to be held responsible.

Wife of man shot by police in Fairfield during violent domestic last week releases statement.

Students at Fairfield University apparently hosted a “ghetto party” sometime last weekend, said to have included racist costumes and stereotypes.

Last Thursday afternoon in Norwalk, a male suspect and two female suspects entered the lobby of a condominium complex on Seir Hill Road.

In New Canaan, an investigation into an underage party that happened back on December 31, has led to the arrest of a teen.

Milford lost a former mayor last week. Edward Kozlowski, who was mayor of Milford from 1969 to 1971, died Feb. 18 at the age of 89.

With a vision of sidewalks, street lamps, footbridges, and crosswalks encouraging street life and sparking a business revival in Branchville, the town is seeking a nearly $2-million state grant to begin improvements in the area.
